Two awards for graduation thesis

Zakaria Sachhi of Royal Roos wins both KNVTS Maritime Student Award and Verolme Trust 'Best of the Best' Graduate Award with his thesis on an offshore barge connected lifting tool to efficiently decommission wind turbines.

The assessment committee of the Verolme Trust found the graduation thesis to contain a well thought out solution showing a forward-looking approach, having societal relevance and being circular. Zakaria graduated from Rotterdam Mainport University of Applied Sciences with a BA in Maritime Technology and is now working as a Naval Architect at Royal Roos.
